Lucas Dobbins is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of BTC Markets, Australia's longest-running digital asset exchange.

With more than 18 years of experience building secure, high-performance systems across broadcast media, finance, and digital assets, Lucas brings deep technical expertise to lead BTC Markets through its next phase of growth. He first explored Bitcoin in the early 2010s building mining rigs and experimenting with decentralised systems long before digital assets entered the mainstream.

Before joining BTC Markets, Lucas co-founded a software consultancy and developed real-time graphics and gaming technology for major Australian media networks including the ABC and Network 10, where system uptime, security, and scale were critical. He joined BTC Markets in 2018 as a Frontend Engineer, progressed to Chief Technology Officer, leading a comprehensive transformation of the platform's technology stack.

Lucas leads with a clear philosophy, listen first, provide direction, and give teams the autonomy to execute within well-defined frameworks. Garry's career began in technology, with over 17 years at Hewlett-Packard. However, more than half of his career has been focused on financial services, where he has developed a deep understanding of the payments industry from market, technology, and regulatory perspectives. His expertise is further underscored by his high-profile roles at Mastercard, where he was a prominent payment thought leader.

David Raper is a seasoned executive in financial market infrastructure, bringing over two decades of experience to the BTC Markets Advisory Board. Currently the CEO of Automic Group, he oversees the strategic direction and operational excellence of a company that provides registry, employee share plans, and professional services to over 1,300 ASX-listed companies and fund managers.

David’s career is distinguished by his deep expertise in managing and scaling financial services businesses. As the former COO of Automic Group, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's operations and enhancing service delivery. His leadership at ASX as Group Executive Markets saw him oversee critical areas including the stock and futures exchanges, and the development of data and technology initiatives. Earlier in his career, David was a key executive at the Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE), managing the futures market, clearing house, and central securities depository, further honing his expertise in market infrastructure.

In addition to his traditional financial markets roles, David is actively engaged in the crypto markets and blockchain sectors, offering strategic guidance in his advisory position at Pier Two. He is the current Chair for DECA’s Digital Asset Working Group and a member of the Independent Advisory Group for the RBA’s Project Acacia, reflecting his leadership and influence across Australia’s digital asset and payments landscape. With a focus on driving growth and building scalable commercial frameworks, Paul works closely with industry stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of institutional and retail clients.

Paul has a diverse professional background, having held senior leadership roles at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), Trading Technologies, and Sydney Futures Exchange, as well as leading commercial initiatives in emerging technology sectors. His expertise spans distributed ledger technology (DLT), blockchain, carbon markets, ESG, and AI, alongside deep experience in electronic trading, clearing, and settlement systems.

At ASX, Paul founded and led the Emerging Technology and Innovation business, launching Synfini, a DLT-as-a-Service platform that, at the time, positioned ASX as a leader in blockchain adoption. He also grew ASX’s Technical Services business into one of its fastest growing business lines and played a key role in delivering the Australian futures markets’ New Trading Platform.

Prior to joining BTC Markets, Paul served as Chief Commercial Officer at MyCarbon, where he spearheaded the creation of a transparent, regulated marketplace for carbon credit trading. His career reflects a proven ability to build high-performing teams, nurture trusted relationships, and translate complex technologies into clear commercial strategies that deliver measurable results.

Paul Stonham

As the Head of Finance at BTC Markets, Charlie Sherry blends a traditional finance background with a deep technical understanding of digital assets. He is responsible for ensuring that BTC Markets meets its financial targets, supports the board in setting financial strategy and objectives, and oversees the management of the company’s treasury, handling both fiat and digital assets.

With a decade of experience in Finance & Accounting, Charlie began his career in consulting with PwC, where he collaborated with finance teams across various industries. He then moved on to lead the finance function of a multi-entity hospitality group in Canada. During his tenure, he worked directly with leadership to grow the organisation through strategic deals and acquisitions while managing downside protection during the COVID-19 pandemic. A particularly challenging period for the hospitality sector.

Charlie's passion for crypto led him to BTC Markets, where he applies his financial expertise to the rapidly evolving world of digital assets. He has a deep technical knowledge of cryptocurrencies and decentralised finance, frequently sharing his insights on these topics via his LinkedIn profile.

Charlie Sherry

Roger McIntyre is the Head of Customer and Operations at BTC Markets, bringing over a decade of experience in customer strategy, product management, and operations within the financial services sector. Since joining BTC Markets in early2022, Roger has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s customer segmentation strategy and enhancing customer service to drive operational excellence.

Before stepping into his current role, Roger led the Product and Marketing teams at BTC Markets, where he spearheaded key initiatives in asset strategy and project management, building on a strong foundation of strategic leadership. Roger’s career spans various leadership roles, including his time at MLC Life Insurance, where he focused on insights and experience design, and at National Australia Bank (NAB), where he contributed to digital product development at NAB Labs. Roger McIntyre

Rachael Lucas brings over 15 years of experience in the commercial and retail sectors as an accomplished corporate professional. In her role as the Head of Marketing and Communications at BTC Markets, she leads the strategic approach and oversees the implementation of all marketing and communications initiatives. Rachael has successfully increased the business's visibility and brand awareness while continuously elevating user engagement and managing multiple business partnerships and supplier relationships. She is dedicated to maintaining BTC Markets’ national reputation in alignment with corporate and organisational objectives.

Before joining BTC Markets, Rachael served as the National Senior Marketing Manager for CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate and investment firm. In this role, she gained extensive experience in executing national marketing initiatives and driving return on investment for various business lines.

Rachael is passionate about blockchain technology and its potential to transform the digital economy. A skilled stakeholder manager, she holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from RMIT University and actively engages in cryptocurrency technical analysis and trading in her spare time.

Hox Ng is a highly experienced product and technology leader with a proven track record across web3, gaming, blockchain and crypto, banking and financial services, higher education, and IT services. As the Head of Product at BTC Markets, Hox is responsible for shaping the strategic product roadmap and leading the end-to-end delivery of digital solutions that enhance customer experience and drive business growth. With a strong focus on user-centric design and agile methodologies, Hox ensures BTC Markets remains competitive in an evolving digital asset landscape.

Over the course of his career, Hox has successfully operated in a range of key roles including Product Manager, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Iteration Manager, Solution Consultant, and Project Manager. This includes setting the vision, gathering requirements, and leading the execution and ongoing management of products in the market. Jon also plays a key role in defining and driving product management processes across the organisation, engaging with stakeholders, and overseeing the mobile app as the product owner.

With a background in financial services dating back to 2010 and experience in the cryptocurrency industry since 2020, Jon has developed a strong foundation in both traditional and digital finance. His career began at PwC as an external auditor, before transitioning into management consulting, where he focused on project management and process excellence for large financial institutions in London. Since moving to Australia, Jon has been with BTC Markets, where his hybrid expertise in project and product management has been instrumental in driving innovation.

Prior to joining BTC Markets, Jon worked with several prominent financial institutions, including Barclays, HSBC, Rothschilds Private Bank, UBS, and ICBC. Jonathan Gore

Eric Makoski is the Client Partnerships Manager at BTC Markets and serves as the primary point of contact for VIP clients, corporate accounts, and liquidity providers. He oversees the full OTC trade lifecycle, including compliance, trade pricing, and settlement, ensuring smooth execution across high-value and institutional transactions.

With five years at BTC Markets and over a decade in the crypto ecosystem, Eric has worked through multiple market cycles. He is known for consistency, strong client relationships, and a clear focus on outcomes.

Nicholas Goode is a Client Partnerships Executive at BTC Markets, where he works closely with institutional, VIP, and high-net-worth clients across onboarding, trading, and market support. Nicholas has been active in crypto markets since 2015 as an early adopter and trader. He brings a strong understanding of market structure, execution, and liquidity, developed through hands-on experience across different market cycles.
